| I've been ebay'ing some Lomo cameras after seeing Cavan's results from Scåandinåviå and i'm finding the LC-A (regular) for pretty cheap. I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with these cameras/film cameras in general. I'm also debating if instagram has replaced point and shoot cameras.
You can make your digital pics look just like old cameras, but do people care if it's "real" or not? I personally like the idea of physical photographs where light had a chemical reaction, but you have to wait HOURS to get film back and then show people. We live in the age of Now. People can't wait hours. Are you kidding me?

there is always a difference. i do enjoy instagram, but there is no comparison to the pairing of that little LC-A with something like cross processed slide film. contrast is blown out so hard. another thing>>> it makes you shoot differently when you can't see how your shots are coming out every time you click the shutter. Its a bit of a gamble, but assuming someone knows their way around a camera, its not that intimidating at all. i find it freeing.

| were you thinking of strictly the LC-A? or had you considered any of the more "toy" type cameras from lomography. i've been debating the Diana Mini recently, seems more versatile than its larger twin, with fewer accessory add-ons.
these fun things seriously saved my waning interest in photography over the last few years.

| I was looking at the LC-A cause I saw your results, but there are some way cheaper more off the wall options. the fisheye stuff caught my eye for sure and the panorama stuff. | |
